Sometimes in life we just want to be heard.

No judgment. No criticism. No advice.

Just a kind ear.

Active Listening Therapy

When we have space to speak our thoughts out loud without fear of receiving criticism or hurting another, we are able to start releasing old emotions and thought patterns and begin hashing out new ones. In an active listening session, you can expect to express yourself freely and be heard with compassion. Active listening is defined as the practice of listening to a speaker while providing feedback indicating that the speaker is both heard and understood. It involves turning your full attention to the speaker rather than waiting for your turn to speak.

Active listening is a powerful tool, not only for alternative healing therapists, but for our personal and professional relationships as well. If you are interested in learning how to be a better active listener, a lesson can be included in an active listening session.

Active listening sessions are available via telephone, video call or in person. Some clients prefer telephone sessions so they can vent from the privacy of their homes while others prefer to decompress more casually at a park, cafe or another public venue.

*Important disclaimer: Active listening sessions are meant to be a way to relax, de-stress and get things off your chest. They are not a suitable replacement for professional mental healthcare from a doctor or therapist. If you are experiencing symptoms such as obsessive worry, compulsive behaviors or thoughts, persistent sadness, angry outbursts, sleep problems, weight/appetite changes, or thoughts of harming yourself or others, please seek professional care rather than booking a listening session.*

All Indigo Healing services are $100 an hour.
